On assignment from R/GA Stockholm we have developed a set of screen optimized webfonts for the launch of the new volvocars.com. We fine-tuned the current Volvo Cars font range with outline optimizations, x-height matching, file size reduction and TrueType-hinting. We also redrew an optically thinner version of the classic Volvo Cars Broad typeface for use at smaller sizes.
Our fonts are designed to work on paper, screens, products, houses, clothes and even inside products as interface fonts. Here is Trim Mono embedded inside the Sippi product from Observe Medical.

Ferry is the second contribution to Letters from Sweden’s “Fabrik Suite” – a project inspired by Swedish industry, factories and harbours. This time we found our inspiration in the three “Stockholms Ström” ferries that float in our beautiful capital.
In close collaboration with Acne Studios we developed a custom typeface for their new visual identity. The fonts are live on www.acnestudios.com and can soon be seen in stores around the world.
Some might not know this, but the last few years I’ve almost had two jobs. I was FamiljenPangea’s lead type designer, where I was not only responsible for designing custom typefaces but also brought in the majority of such clients to the company. Simultaneously, I was running Letters from Sweden as a side project where my main focus was retail fonts.

Min första kontakt med Peter Bruhn var då jag i början av min karriär mailade och frågade om han ville ge ut ett av mina typsnitt. Han svarade snabbt på mailet och tackade nej och förklarade vänligt varför.
